Khloé Kardashian on religion and divorce

Khloé Kardashian on religion and divorce
Khloé Kardashian has revealed the extent of her belief in Christianity and her openness towards other religions in an essay for Lena Dunham's Lenny Letter.
The Kocktails with Khloé host turned denim designer opened up about her Christian upbringing, and her father's emphasis on religion in the essay published online.

"I've always been a very spiritual person. I believe with every fibre of my being that there is a higher power. I love theology and I enjoy learning about other people's religions," she writes.
"We went to church every Sunday, religiously. When we started getting older, my dad stopped going to church, but he still read the Bible every single day. Sundays then became about his bringing church and religion into our home."
Discussing the death of her father, high profile lawyer Robert Kardashian, the youngest Kardashian sister said the passing was "one of the most profound experiences" of her life, sharing how she used religion to help grieve.
"After he passed, I was bitter and angry - I was very angry at God. My dad was such a believer, so I couldn't come to terms with how someone with such a deep relationship with God could be gone."
"I started to read a ton of near-death-experience books... They changed my views and helped me to not be so angry about my dad," she said.
Kardashian said she has always accepted other religions, and once practised Ramadan with a Muslim ex-boyfriend. She also revealed that although she "doesn't believe in divorce", her separation from Lamar Odom was necessary to preserve the state of her "mental and emotional wellbeing".
Always the wiser, Kardashian imparts some food for thought on her readers, and encourages everyone to accept each other regardless of religion.
"I don't judge people for their beliefs. And I don't understand how others can sit around casting judgments on people because they have different religions and a certain point of view," she said.
Hear hear, Khloé.
