It has been revealed that former President Olusegun Igbochukwu Obasanjo is an Igbo man.
According to findings, Obasanjo was fathered by Igwe Okwudili Onyejekwe, the Obi of Onitsha Ado N'Idu from 1962-1970, who happened to be a colonial era police officer.
Police Officer Onyejekwe served at Owu, Obasanjo's home town in the 1930s around the period OBJ was born.
He was said to have had a fruitful relationship with an owu lady who happens to be OBJ's mother, Ashabi.
It was believed that Onyejekwe actually issued a recommendation that facilitated Obasanjo's enlistment into the Nigerian Army in 1958 in a book titled "Olusegun Obasanjo in The Eyes of Time - A Biography of the African Statesman". - Nations & Leadership. - Joss Ken's Blog
