Fast & Furious 7 on Hold Following Paul Walker's Death

Paul Walker's sudden and tragic death on Saturday has left his friends, fans and co-stars in shock, with many wondering what will become of the immensely popular Fast & Furious franchise.

Now, producer Neal Moritz tells TMZ that the seventh installment — which was in production in Atlanta at the time of Walker's death — is being put on indefinite hold until the cast and crew have had time to grieve. Indeed, Walker was scheduled to shoot his portion of the film next week.

Walker's death continues to send shock waves throughout the world. The actor was a passenger in a Porsche Carrera that crashed into a pole on a highway in Santa Clarita, putting the car in flames and killing both Walker and the driver. The actor's father, Paul Walker, Sr., spoke to reporters on Monday and explained that the entire family is struggling to cope with his death. Choking up as he spoke, Walker Sr. said the actor's 15-year-old daughter, Meadow, is taking the news "really hard."

Meanwhile, local police are working overtime to crack down on fans who are burning rubber and doing donuts with their cars to pay tribute to the deceased star. Police are hoping to put a stop to the dangerous behavior before another tragedy occurs.

Walker, known for his easygoing nature and beloved by the Hollywood community, was 40-years-old when he passed away.
