HUMOUR IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY

       the entertainment industry

In Nigeria it is very rare to see people of common profession helping each other out, the reverse is however the case, especially in the entertainment industry. This is quite obvious in the music industry, where if you aren’t in same record label or crew, there’s a high tendency that you do not cross parts and if you happen to cross parts then it’s strictly business and then everyone goes their way, some even resort to producing songs that focuses on abusing a fellow music artist. Same can also be said of the movie industry, we often here that some (mostly actresses) do not see eye to eye, also this applies to the bloggers in a way, it’s very rare to see a blogger place an advert of someone else’s blog on their blog (even though some of them are friends). However the story seems to be different for the comedy industry in the country, where everyone seems to be their brother’s keeper.

Alibaba (GCFR) is said to be the father of comedy today because he helped so many into the comedy industry, A.Y also has helped a lot through his open mic program, even on twitter, you see comedians like Basket mouth soliciting for followers for Seyi Lawand the latter soliciting for KLint D Drunk, same goes forPrincessHelen PaulI Go Dye and virtually every comedian on twitter. When it comes to the comedy industry, every comedian seems to want to help the other. The question is, “what is it that they (comedians) see or know that makes them act differently from the rest of the entertainment industry”?
I believe that great progress is made when everyone carries each other along and like the popular saying, “two heads are better than one”.
